So... I'm the new leader of The Last Rites organization. Surprised?
Well considering last time we spoke I was about to be handed over to be executed you should be surprised.
Anyways so here's what happened. I was given over to the Last Rites organization. A truce was signed and The Timberwolves left.
I was locked in a room awaiting execution. The Archangel visited me at this time wearing Kycilia.
It told me not to worry. It told me with words. Another thing we were wrong about. It said it needed the Last Rites organization and The Organization needed a leader who knew what they were doing. It then told me what to do.
I was brought up for execution a day later. They had created a firing squad and were going to shoot me dead.
There was no trial. It wouldn't of helped. The Dying Man made me do it isn't an acceptable excuse when the people you say it to have no idea who The Dying Man is and are too close minded despite the world they live in to acknowledge that it could possibly be a thing. If you get the impression that I consider all my new employees to be complete idiots it's because I do and they are. If you need proof consider what happened next.
So I'm at the wall and they're ready to shoot me. I'm blindfolded and everything. They fire and The Archangel appears in the way. The bullets hit but do nothing. Archangel appears two shotguns and begins blasting people. As promised my blindfold and binds were removed. The Archangel was slaughtering them. I didn't feel any sympathy. They were idiots and planning to kill me. Huh... Thinking back I wonder if that's how he thinks about all of Humanity. He turned his gun on someone and I dashed over moving in front of the gun. It occurred to me that it was entirely possible he had been lying too me and was just going to shoot me but nope he kept his word. He stopped. I grabbed the shotgun from his hand and aimed it at his face. I then spoke the lines. "I killed the leader but the deal isn't broken it just passes on. The deal is between me and you now. You cannot enter here as long as I remain." The Archangel stares at me and again I wonder if he was lying to me but then he disappeared.
The members watched this and believed it. They didn't question it at all. Now I'm in charge because as long as I'm here they're safe.
The Archangel will honor the deal.
See The Last Rites has never truly opposed The Archangel. He created them from the beginning. The Archangel apparently wants opposition. He loves to watch us try and the better challenge we pose the more fun. The last leader was growing weak and The Archangel expects me to do better.
Well not me alone...
Dick is back. Archangel returned him to me. However he is now under my control. A source of knowledge to help me better oppose The Archangel.
So there you go.
Last Rites still lives and we're still going to be shooting The Archangel in the face at every opportunity.
